Fish art from the angler's perspective. Now this was promising...we could sit out there on this point, and watch them cruise by - these beautiful Lahontan cutthroat in their deep crimson spawning apparel of March. It was chironomid season on Lake Lenore. At first, the slow retrieve it required felt like worm and bobber nap fishing, but I eventually geared down to the rhythm. We caught many of these beautiful fish that day, and they all boasted a meaty 18-22", some stretching themselves to wanna-be two footers. This was the lake that I put into my bargain a few years later with my wife - if I was going to get that surgery, then I needed to recover the next day by fly fishing at that lake, in a (careful) seated position. How many guys can say they went angling a day after that surgery?
