Al Barnes
Fly fishing enthusiasts have been the lucky beneficiaries of Al Barnes vision throughout his very notable career. A refined sense of composition, an uncommon finesse for color and light, and a mastery of mood all combine to make Al's work among the most sought after in the world of contemporary sporting art. There aren't very many artists that make you want to 'be there' quite like Al Barnes does.

The main source for inspiration may be the Caribbean for the majority of Al Barnes' paintings, but he is equally at home in the coastal marshes of South Texas. Water is the binding factor in all of his paintings, whether it's Bonefish tailing on the flats or Pintails lifting off a tidal marsh. He is as comfortable depicting the majesty of waterfowl in flight as he is rendering anglers chasing quarry, and the world has long taken notice. A few of his awards include National Ducks Unlimited Waterfowl Artist of the Year, National Ducks Unlimited Stamp Artist, two time Texas State Ducks Unimited Artist of the Year, and three time Texas Saltwater Stamp Artist.

He has been a featured artist in magazines including Gray's Sporting Journal, Southwest Artist, The Artist's Magazine, Florida Sportsman, Marlin Magazine and Sporting Classics.
